Chinese therapeutic massage

„Don’t ask me why I’m having a massage.
Ask yourself why you aren’t doing it. “

What is it?

Ancient Chinese healers and philosophers held that the human organism is functionally linked to the environment and, as part of it, is subject to its natural laws (nature – earth, fire, metal, water and wood). Modern science has proven the existence of vital energy (bioenergy) in humans, the so-called. biofield. According to ancient Chinese (Taoist) teachings, life energy CI exists naturally within a person; it is inherited from their parents. After birth, it enters the body through food, water, air and other means, and flows along specific energy channels known as meridians. This energy CI is regarded as the existence of two opposing forces – positive energy YAN and the negative IN. They flow along the 12 meridians, which are located on the surface of the body. Each meridian is associated with a specific organ, which is the source of this vital energy. Along the channels and beyond them there are a certain number of biologically active points, which respond to external and internal stimuli.

The key to good health is the balance between the two energies IN и YAN. An excess or deficiency of energy in any of the channels leads to illness. The effect on biologically active points during acupressure (pressure), acupuncture (acupuncture), moxa (heat therapy) and others lead to the redistribution and balancing of energy, thereby supporting the body’s healing process.

Chinese massage is part of traditional Chinese medicine and is used to prevent and treat various types of ailments. It is carried out by stimulating biologically active points and lines, thereby influencing the flow of energy and blood through the meridians, which in turn leads to improved functioning of all organs and systems in the human body. Various techniques of acupressure are used for this purpose. „Acu“ means „point“ in Latin, and ‘pressure’ means ‘pressure’. The advantage of this method is that, on the whole, it is safe, effective and easy to apply.
